Why is the left side of her head twenty years older than the right side?
The light is coming from the right side, which would hide any wrinkles on that side, but accentuate wrinkles on the left

I have no idea by what standards a Viking would use to determine beauty. I do know that their standards would be different then ours today.
While this woman appears plain to our eyes, she may very well have been the ideal woman of her time.
We only have to look at the winners of the early Miss America contest to see how our own standards of beauty have changed in a hundred years.
