Always enjoyed going up to Big Bear, though most of the years I lived there the lake level was always well below normal.

I went skiing on Big Bear back in 1967. I had learned to ski behind a 14’ aluminum boat with a 25hp Johnson outboard. The boat at Big Bear had a 455 Olds inboard, complete with headers and velocity stacks.

Nearly yanked my arms out!
