The Federal Bureau of Investigation has this last week opened what it calls "the vault", a collection of thousands of documents and memos that have been unclassified.
One of those memos confirms the crash at Roswell.
It is a PDF file, and the FBI server is running slow, so I will transpose part of it here:
-------------------------------------------------------------
The following information was furnished to SA
An investigator for the Air Force stated that three so-called flying saucers hed been recovered in New Mexico. They were described as being circular in shape with raised centers, approximately 50 feet in diameter. Each one was occupied by three bodies of human shape but only 3 feet tall, dressed in metallic cloth of a very fine texture. Each body was bandaged in a manner similar to the blackout suits used by speed flyers and test pilots.
According to Mr. (redacted), informant, the saucers were found in New Mexico due to the fact that the Government has a very high powered radar set-up in that area and it is believed the radar interferes with the controling mechanism of the saucers.
No further evaluation was attempted by SA (redacted) concerning the above.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Never before has such hysteria been based on one man’s word.
Brazel’s testimoney is utterly earthly.
Cavitt’s testimony was that the area was 20 feet square, whereas Marcel’s testimony was that it was the better part of a mile wide.
Rickett only ever described finding a material with unusual “memory” properties.
Journalist Johnson’s recollection (Star Telegraph) was perfectly consistent with a weather balloon, and wholly inconsistent with alien articfacts.
Sgt. Smith, again, noted only the uniquely non-creasing material (consistent, incidentally, with microfiber materials not yet common, but used by the miliatary)
Sgt. Newton descibed a weather balloon.
Sgt. Porter’s decription of the weightlessness of the material is possibly hyperbolic; nothing else suggests anything otherworldly.
Aside from some people who can’t establish they anywhere near the wreckage, and only came forward after the media hysteria, that’s it.
As an army colenol and two-war veteran, Marcel inherently deserves my respect. His service even magnifies the value I place on his testimony. But the numerous other army and air force officers who flatly contradict him also deserve the same respect. And their testimony is credible.
Don't know if that happened, but just extrapolating from what I know about electronics (trained on communications, radar and microwave equipment back in the day before going to oilfield equip). Think the scenario is very plausible.
The more miniaturized and sophisticated the *Tronics* the more it's susceptible to EMP and RF interference, that's just a fact we may learn about the hard way one day.
I can even envision that a technically advanced civilization wouldn't even think about protection from high powered RF, something that was 1000 years or more outdated to them.
To draw a half-ass analogy, I don't think much about a medieval catapult, but one could still ruin my house and my day pretty easily :^)
But that didn't just prove it to Lucifer, but all the people who read of the account. And Job was rewarded for his faithfulness, as well.
For those of us engaged in spiritual warfare, it is an encouragement to stick to our guns, that God is there for us. It is also a foreshadowing of the temptation of Christ by the Devil, which Jesus also resisted, and subsequently was tormented beyond that which Job endured, only to emerge not just triumphant, but as the Saviour of all who would listen and believe.
Untested faith is weak, it is in our moments of privation we truly learn to believe in God's goodness, and that with Him, we shall prevail. Like exercising a muscle, exercising our faith strengthens it. I think that's why God permits us to go through periods of hardship.
Just trust that whatever he did and does is the right thing.
It may not seem right...but it is.
I know you trust Him. Trust Him here.
No. I was quite happy to ready your substantive post and agree with it rather wholesale.
Thx.
Yeah. I thought it was interesting that he and Stanton Friedman were invited to that elite conference.
I think they were the only UFO researchers there? Or were there a few others?
HERE'S AN UPDATE ON THE STARCHILD SKULL with reconstruction [ANIMATED RECONSTRUCTION AT LINK]:

THE STARCHILD SKULL
In addition to writing and lecturing, Lloyd Pye is Director of the Starchild Project, a research organization that has been investigating the Starchild Skull since February of 1999.
Lloyd initially thought the skull's unusual physical characteristics must be the result of some kind of deformity, but he soon learned no technically valid explanation for it existed. The most unusual features of the skull include bone that is half as thick and heavy as normal human bone but is significantly more durable; fibers and residue within the matrix of the bone; and an abundance of skull deformations that would be fatal in any normal human. The Starchild Skull is unique.
ABOUT THE STARCHILD SKULL
The Starchild Skull is a human-like bone skull independently radiocarbon dated at 900 years old (+/- 40 years). It is unlike any other skull that has ever been found or presented for inspection. It is unique in the world.
The "Starchild" name resulted from early X-rays of a maxilla fragment detached from the skull. It had two visible teeth and five unerupted crowns embedded in the bone above. That, combined with a slightly-less-than-normal-adult size of the skull and the infant size of the maxilla fragment indicated a child of 5 or 6. However, subsequent examination by experts has led them to suggest that this age is not necessarily accurate.
From extremely shallow eye sockets to total lack of frontal sinuses, the Starchild skull's physical traits cannot be accounted for by any known combination of deformities. The bone itself has a biochemical signature more like tooth enamel than bone, unlike anything currently known. And inside that unusual bone are microscopic fibers and a red residue that so far defy explanation.

DNA BREAKTHROUGH
Early in 2010 a modified "shotgun" DNA recovery technique successfully recovered numerous coherent base-pair segments of the Starchild Skull's nuclear DNA. They were analyzed by the National Institutes of Health BLAST program, and a substantial portion of the Starchild's nuclear DNA was found to have "no significant similarity" to any DNA previously found on Earth. This is historic!
http://www.starchildproject.com/dna2010.htm
In Detail: Early in 2010 the head of a large genetics lab in the U.S. contacted the Starchild Project and suggested that he could attempt to use a recovery technique called modified shotgun sequencing to isolate the Starchilds nuclear DNA. This is the same nuclear DNA that could not be recovered during six attempts in an extensive DNA test conducted by Trace Genetics in 2003.
Trace Genetics used what was available then: long human-only primers made from many thousands of base pairs strung together. The new refined shotgun technique could recover much shorter strings of as little as 200 to 500 base pairs long. Where primers are like a single bullet, the new technique is like a spray of shotgun pellets, giving a much better chance to hit a result. The geneticist was certain that if the skulls nuclear DNA was still viable, then, human or not, he could recover it.
A sample of the Starchild Skulls bone was provided, and in a few weeks the geneticist reported some incredible results. Not only had he recovered substantial amounts of nuclear DNA, he had also made a historic discovery when he attempted to catalogue his results. The gel sheet below shows an unmistakable recovery of its nuclear DNA, showing more than a half-dozen strings between 1000 and 2000 base pairs long.
Gel sheet showing the recovery of the Starchild Skull's Nuclear DNA
Whenever a geneticist wants to have an unknown sequence of DNA analyzed, they send it for analysis to the enormous genetic database located at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Maryland. That public-access database is a centralized repository of all the genomic data accumulated by U.S. government funded research, and it now covers every phylum on Earth, from various kinds of viruses and bacteria, to various kinds of crustaceans and fish, to all kinds of animals and plants, including primates and humans.
Our geneticist sent several samples of the Starchilds nuclear DNA to be compared with trillions of recorded sequences at the NIH. Below we see a report summary returned by the NIH Basic Logical Alignment Search Tool (BLAST).
BLAST report on the Starchild Skull's Nuclear DNA
In this report we see that one length of 265 base pairs from the Starchild Skulls nuclear DNA matches perfectly with a gene on human chromosome 1. This verifies that at least some of the nuclear DNA from the Starchild is from a human being.
In the next screen shot (below) a string of 342 base pairs recovered from the Starchild Skull was analyzed. This time the result reads: "No significant similarity found. For reasons why, click here. Those reasons why are an automatically generated list of possible procedural errors designed to help geneticists check all possible flaws in their testing techniques. Our geneticist has verified his procedures and replicated his results, indicating that no such mistakes were made.
BLAST report on the Starchild Skull's Nuclear DNA
To have recovered a string of base pairs 342 nucleotides long with NO reference in the NIH database is astounding because it means there is NO known earthly corollary for what has been analyzed!
Please understand that these results have now been repeated and verified several times. Strings of Starchild DNA over 3000 base pairs long have failed to match with anything in the NIH database. Despite that, skeptics will be obligated by their positions to try to say it is some kind of genetic gibberish or a mistake made during the analysis process. Why? Because, in the words of philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer: Every truth passes through three stages. First it is ridiculed. Second it is violently opposed. Third it is accepted as being self-evident.
Luckily, any protest can easily be overcome with continued repetition and reproduction of results, isolating more and more unique fragments to add to the library of data already being created from Starchild DNA.
Our geneticist is confident that complete confirmation will unfold over the following months as the Starchild Skulls entire genome is recovered using advanced sequencing technology. Ultimately, he will be able to formally announce that he has absolute, ironclad proof that a significant part of the Starchild's genome cannot be found on Earth.
Didn't know about this latest info. If it proves out could be one heck of a smoking gun.
The alternative explanation -
(snip)Lloyd Pye has had DNA tests performed on the skull in 1999 and 2003; a promised third test in 2009 has not yet been published, if it ever happened. The 2003 extraction of mitochondrial DNA (that inherited from the mother) showed it to belong to haplogroup C, a typical Native American type. Thus, the childs mother was beyond doubt a Native American, not an alien. Intriguingly, the adult skull recovered with the childs yielded mtDNA of haplogroup A, another Native American type, but which means that the skull cannot be that of the childs mother, which would by definition have mtDNA of the same haplogroup. However, the team was unable to extract any nuclear DNA, which Pye insists is evidence that the father was not human, as nuclear DNA was extracted from the adult skull. However, there are greater difficulties in the extraction of nuclear DNA from ancient bone than in the extraction of mitochondrial DNA, so the lack of nuclear DNA from the Starchild skull is not at all mysterious. What Pye does not dwell on are the 1999 DNA test, which identified both X and Y chromosomes, which show that the child was a boy; Y chromosomes can only be inherited from the father (men have an XY chromosome pair, women an XX chromosome pair), so the childs father must have been as human as his mother.
So why does the skull look so unusual? Although Lloyd Pye quotes doctors who state that it cannot have been a pathological condition, he ignores similar skeletal remains that are clearly the result of hydrocephalus, a condition in which the skull fills with cerebrospinal fluid in and around the brain and which can be fatal. Another condition that can yield similar skeletal pathologies is progeria, in which symptoms resembling premature ageing are caused by a genetic mutation. The scientific evidence shows very clearly that the Starchild skull is that of a very sick human boy who probably died from the condition that caused the unusual pathological features of the skull. To promote this unfortunate Native American, whose remains are being displayed for public entertainment, is immoral, does an immense disservice to his memory and is something that under the American NAGPRA legislation is probably illegal.
Thanks.
I’ve listened to his videos . . . I find the alternative explanation MUCH weaker than his presentation.
And yet another source disagreeing with Lloyd.
http://skepticblog.org/2009/03/19/some-starchild-feedback/
We shall see.
I think it’s a better case than the naysayers make it out to be on a number of counts.
I don’t think that pathologically deformed argument fits well at all. Pathological deformations tend to look differently somehow, imho.
So the XY chromosome pair which gave the kid the Y chromosome has to be definitely human?
I read most all that file.
I found it very weak.
Would like to see the full DNA analysis done . . . until then . . . I think the p*ssing contest is at least equal, if not in favor of Pye.
I know what you are saying, Smokin’Joe. Those times in my life where the burden was heavy have been the times I got to be the closest to Jesus. He does carry me through those times. And it is true that I would not know this mercy and power of Christ unless I had suffered.
There are many Jews and Christians I have crossed paths with who blamed God for their suffering and for the evil in creation. Since He is all powerful, and since He supposedly loves every one of us, why would He let bad things happen? They conclude that He’s not a loving Father and that He’s not a powerful God either.
This sounds exactly like a case Lucifer would present to a suffering Christian or Jew in their hour of weakness. So, I guess Job was a warning to us of how Lucifer would cause us to suffer and then use that suffering to argue that God is weak and not worthy of our love and faith.
Thanks for the info. Please tell me MKULTRA didn’t use children suffering from progeria for testing. That would be too much to bear.
I bet they didn't check James Carville...
One of the two is wrong. Even putting aside Occam's Razor theory, I am suspicious of the original source. When searching for information, I had to wade through a sea of book sales and speeches on youtube.
Large profits are always a motive for deceit. And Lloyd is making lots of money off of a child's skull.
Post 178, thanks SaraJ, you’re stating it clearly.
Lord, have mercy.
