Why did Newsweek remove Barack Obama photos?
Why would someone photoshop a young Barack Obama into a photo of his grandparents sitting on a bench in Central Park? A photo that appeared in New Yorker editor David Remnick’s Obama bio, ‘The Bridge’.

The picture with O is the fake. If the hand on the shoulder is real the left shoulder of grandpa’s jacket would be elevated because of the lifted hand and arm. Also if you look at the shadows of the trees the slight shadow of the large tree is gone in the one with O. There is also a rather odd light spot between O’s shoulder and grandpa’s chest.

CNN - According to Hawaii News Now, Titcomb and the president have been close friends since high school. The two are frequently seen golfing and dining together when the Obama family visits Hawaii.

FYI - appears that Bobby is the son of the late Judge Frederick James Kealiimahiai Titcomb, who ran as a Pubbie and lost a congressional race to Daniel Inouye in '60.

It could be, but I would say it was very unlikely given the very real shadow on the shoulder. As I ran the gamma (think exposure) up and down the range, nothing jumped out as looking unnatural. Additional, odd and sometimes very straight lines do tend to appear on low res pictures.
I use Photoshop quite often. What I find about the two pics is that between the two pics, grandpa hasn’t moved ar all. You would think that adding BO in the pic something on grandpa would have moved. Part of his clothing something, but even the position of his tie in relation to his beltbuckle seems to be exactly the same. You would think a hanging tie would move when grandpa shifts to put his arm around O.
Rush keeps on saying that Hawaii said that Internet image purported to be a Hawaiian COLB has been verified as authentic by Hawaii. That has not happened.
In almost 3 years, I’ve known Hawaii has never officially commented about that thing at “Fact”check.org was issued by Hawaii.
The closest was the DoH spokeswomen Janice Okubo who said in 2008 it looked like hers and then backtracked stating you can’t tell what that is on the Internet.
So people show me where Hawaii said that COLB at daily KOS was authenticated by Hawaii? Where did Rush get his information? Or has he been scammed by CNN BS?

I think he’s so basically disinterested in the issue, he’s
just grabbing convenient soundbites.
That’s the conundrum: there are SO many little details and bits that WE know, but the average Joe or Rush who just delves into it now and then as a relatively disinterested observer can easily fluff it off as meaningless. It’s just not his schtick .. and as we’ve seen, he’s not alone.
He wants folks employ Trump’s METHODS . . but NOT focus on the FACTS.

You’re right. Look at the tiling of the wall on the right side of the Obama-less pic, as well as the warped and aliased bench.
If you look at grandpa’s right elbow, the stone has 3 lines. In the 2nd photo there is only 2.
it’s really a bad piece of work.
I would be interested in knowing just who did it and why.

Of course it is. But it isn’t the original photograph. It is REphotoshopped to approxinate what the ORIGINAL photograph was before IT was photoshopped. WE don’t have the original, so we had to use what was already photoshopped. Get it?
Gramps and grammy look much more natural in the bottom pic. The top pic has gramps with a floating hand that obviously is at the end of a very deformed and extra long arm.
Try sitting THREE people in tha texact position and see what happens with that long arm.
