I just found and read that article and was going to post. You are a doll. It is a terrific article.
I will modestly say I stated upthread somewhere that Haley was the first to develop and demonstrate a definite “brand” on the show. I feel validated by this thoughtful article.

Scotty McCreery, whose handle could easily belong to one of the baseball heroes he so admires, has been solid from the get-go. His vocal limitations as a baritone are a seeming reflection of his traditional values and straight-shooting personality. His "limitations" reflect his values? This writer is a jerk.

I've been voting for Haley because I always root for the underdog and the judges were picking on her, but I'm not sure I want her to win.
I really like Scotty and admire his sharing his faith at his concert over the weekend and think I will be switching my votes to him.
