Very sorry for your loss. Did the vet say what was wrong with Sasha?

Sasha was fifteen years old. The voicemail at the vet office said open at 7:00 am. The vet wasn't to arrive until 9:00 am. The vet tech was kind enough to take Sasha in the back to look her over. The vet tech explained that Sasha was in bad shape (duh). Intensive care would have been the only option and well, as soon as I brought her home, she would have stopped eating again. I think she had multiple problems but was not outwardly sick until about mid-March.

That place showed me their estimate which was like for a mechanic and between that estimate and the vet not being there, they gave me The Humane Society phone number. They handled the sad duties for $50.00 at The Humane Society, I had plenty of time to clip a lock of hair, hug her until she kicked w/her back legs and wanted back in her carrier. Another woman there was petting her too. The Humane Society also gave me a pet sympathy card that I opened today.

The two remaining cats are missing Sasha in their own way. The Humane Society is by our concert hall. It will be different going to rehearsal by Sasha's last stop.

I'm not one to pray for pets but I was praying that I could keep driving us from 6:00 am in the dark until we found The Humane Society hours later. I had lack of sleep and food, I would pet Sasha through the front of her carrier and we listened to Mozart for Relaxation during the long drive.

Thank you for your concern.
