Good observation. This years judging - more correctly - lack of real critique - leads to more popularity contest results.
You're wrong. Music is my living. If America's taste in music has fallen to the level that Pia is voted off before Paul and Stefano (or Haley and Casey, for that matter) then all musicians should hang up their talents and ride into the sunset. Let the producers and the rappers and the engineers have it all. America despises excellence. We saw it in microcosm tonight.

Agree. She , like Joe Cocker, had a uniqueness to her voice, and a frenzied style that caused people to pay attention.
