Agreed, the show turned into Nashville Star, after Haley was out we stopped watching, had no interest any longer. Not that there’s anything wrong with country music, just not my thing.

I FORGOT Idol was on Tue and Wed this week!!
I had a baseball game tonight anyway which was rained out but still home too late to watch.
Tonight I will be here but not until the last half of the show. Darn it! I just want to make sure I’m here to see the end with you guys!!

I was thinking they were trying to give it to her. But you’re right, it may be to just simply get her closer to Scotty’s numbers. If they are expecting Scotty to win maybe they wanted to give her that last memorable moment with her mother.
We thought that moment seemed more like something you would do after you won the show, not the day before. According to Drudge, Scotty won hands down.

Surprised the results leaked...and the margin...the story i the NY Post from Drudge is pretty good..

I will buy a James Durbin CD. Enough said. He will have a career in five years. The others will be working at Disney in the parade. Lauren can be Cinderella and Scotty can be the cowboy from Toy Story. Seriesly. The two finalists are Disney bound.

What bothers me is that country music is not as slow as they sing it on AI. The AI producers don't know country music and slow is just not what country's all about. Slow Scotty will win and "aw shucks", he'll be at Disney in the parade as the cowboy from Toy Story in about a year's time.
The little girls can find him there. The two finalists may be singing country songs but it's not fabulous. It makes country look bad. It's better than AI's representation of country music.
