The other possible factor, people just felt that the two country singers are just nice kids, living a dream beyond their belief. They've never acted like they expect to win. Heck, maybe the people who voted are smarter than we give them credit for.

I think you are right. Some people complain and call it Country Idol. Its American Idol, not Pop Idol, or Jazz Idol, or Broadway Ballad Idol. This year the winner may be a country singer, so what. It was nice this year that they didn't HAVE to sing outside their genre and could sing and be who they are.

How did you like this season of Top Shot?

I really enjoyed it! I won't give anything away for those that haven't seen it yet, but I was very pleased (and surprised) by how it ended. And the guy that I thought was a total jackass turned out to be a better person than I thought (but he's still a jackass for the way he ostracized the Navy swimmer).

But Ax-Men was EPIC this year. I want to get Season 4 on DVD when it's available. It played out like a soap opera, lol. And it had a surprise ending too.
