Yup. Don’t want to chew through the math here, but the energy needed to do that was about 10,000,000 times the energy that would be released by every nuke on earth going off. And all that energy was released at once in one place.

Yeah, this is old “news” about this Italian claim. Total nonsense. Which axis? magnetic? actual rotational axis? What shifted? the core? the crust? what?
The crust is so thin compared to the earth’s total volume, that an actual shift of the rotational axis would cause enough energy to be released that the crust would simply come apart at the seams within seconds, producing massive earthquakes and volcanoes that would wipe out practically every living creature except bacteria within a few minutes.
