mostly scare them away

Cats are very helpful to have- as I found out when I moved to the country.

field mice and spiders and all kinds of un-wanted critters seem to dissappear when you get a cat.

Absolutely. Also invaluable for chipmunk control. No more holes in my lawn.

Cats are a must have around my farm, such as it is.

That makes logical sense. Cats eat the mice, snakes go elsewhere to hunt.

We don’t have any mice to speak of where we live, but our cat does like to go after spiders.

I suspect we probably don’t have mice in the neighborhood because we have at least three or four strays about...
