If president goes, then it goes to Vice president. If vice president goes, it goes to Speaker of the house. If speaker of the house goes, it goes to Secretary of state.

Biden

If president goes, then it goes to Vice president. Not if the president is removed by Congress. See Article II Section 1 Clause Six.
Can you point me to the section of the Constitution where the presidential succession is laid out? Save me the hunting.

President pro Tempore comes before Secretary of State. Currently, that is Daniel Inouye, but Patrick Leahy is next in line for that post.

Wrong: It goes VP, Speaker, Majority leader of the Senate, then Secretary of State. That is only if the office holders are legit. With Obama ineligible that would put us on untrod ground which no one foresaw. I do not want the history books of the future saying that we in effect did not have a president for over two years. Logic leads me to Dick Cheney( who does not want the job, but duty calls). He would serve until a special election or congress appoints some one.
It worries me that I am the only one that says Cheney is stuck with the job. I'm afraid he will track me down and stick me with the VP position and I don't want it.

No, unfortunately, it goes to Pres. Pro Tem of the Senate. Before he died, it was Byrd, now it’s Inouye (from Hawaii, how ironic) :-(
