When Col Sanders was alive, he used to pop into locations unannounced and taste the gray. If it wasn't up to his standards, he would tell them to dump the whole batch and start again. If he were still alive, the uneven quality would not exist. Lots of KFC gravy being sold that would make the Col roll in his grave.

And ther's the rub. When the Colonel was alive things were done right! He lived during a time when quality was king, when serving the customer was duty - a matter of personal pride.

“When Col Sanders was alive, he used to pop into locations unannounced and tase the gravy.”

I have done the same thing, when I see a sign that says “Best fried chicken in......you pick a location. I go in and ask an employee, what color is the gravey? If they answer brown, I just thank them and keep on driving.

This goes double for Chicken Fried Steak. White gravy defines the end product of fried chicken and chicken fried steak being served.

No, that is not racist. :)
