“I kept asking for that respect and I couldn't get it.
Take a hint, there, Charlie. You don't get it by ASKing for it.”

I guess I'm kinda on Charlie's side. So, long as he doesn't commit a crime (drugs, slapping women around, etc)his personal conduct is his own business. There are and have been plenty of actors, singers, writers, etc, who are or have been miscreants. Without researching a few to come to mind, Hemingway, Poe, Brando, Dean, Joplin, Hendrix, Williams, etc. The list is almost endless. Actually, it seems that there is a correlation between artists and self destructive behavior. Maybe it's in the DNA, don't know...

He has an employer who is investing money in him. He is free to do whatever they hell he wants with his "own business"...but they are also free to tell him that he is too big a risk for them to invest THEIR money in.

I admit to watching his show. But Charlie’s performances have gone down hill. It may be his own private life, but it’s obvious from his performances and this episode, his behaviour is affecting his job.
