I am a Johnny Cash conservative
U-Tube ^ | Johnny Cash

Point is, Johnny Cash was a conservative, but he was an entirely different "conservative" than the supposed Huckabee. Sarah Palin reminds me more of a Johnny Cash conservative. The point is, many people on Free Republic hate palin for being a Johnny Cash conservative, and to them I say too bad.

Funny thing is that I agree, the constitutional foundations are being eroded. I also agree about the drivel. The thing is, the people attacking Palin are attacking her with drivel.

Read post 53 before you post smart guy. I hate it when people don’t read every post, and then comment.

Oh, cmon, you've got to be kidding. Point to the wording in Article I that talks about "the right to life"....

I haven't attacked her. I've simply pointed out her positions on public policy that I disagree with strongly, as they are destructive of the most important principles upon which we base our form of government and our claim to liberty. My problems with her as a candidate for anything but drivel. They involve things that should be non-negotiable to anyone who calls themselves a conservative.

I don’t know EternalVigilance, but I am going to tell you this (I don’t have my pocket Constitution with me); If life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is not in Article One of the Constitution it should be.
I am going to tell you another thing, I am willing to fight to the death over that issue. Point is, I don’t care who wrote it first. Palin, supports life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Palin also supports the rule of law. If the courts say that you can abort your kid then Palin will work to change the courts. Palin will not try to become a dictator, even if EternalVifilance wishes it so. Point is, chill out before I brake out my Kindle and analyze the Constitution.

By the way, for the record, I love Johnny Cash. For all his faults, an American original.

Thing is, I like that song. I think he was trying to persuade people not to commit crimes. Johnny never killed anyone. He did some bad things but he recognized that fact and he improved. I like Johnny for that reason.

Well, except for the one way you have - if you're not in public office yourself - to actually go beyond mere words and put feet to what you say you believe, which is the decision about who you endorse for public office.

So what you are saying is that you want everyone to over analyze every conversation. The point is, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is in article one and I am correct. So. What is your point.

This isn’t really about Johnny Cash. He’s dead, and therefore won’t be running for public office, or coming in on either side of the political war over whether or not America is going to survive in liberty.

But she has, many Christians think that Downs Syndrome is the exception to the abortion rule. Palin showed the Downs is no excuse for abortion.

My point is that that phrase is found only in the Declaration of Independence. The Fifth and the Fourteenth Amendments do deal with life, liberty, and property, though. But not Article One.

You know, it's one thing to be ignorant. But it's quite another to continue in that ignorance (and to be arrogant about it) once someone has clearly showed you where you're wrong.

But you are wrong, this has everything to do with Johnny Cash. It is Johnny Cash conservatism that will gain power. If common sense conservatism (Johnny Cash) conservatism does not gain hold then Liberalism will win.

Okay, ###&&&@@!!, How ever, like I said it should be. Point is, if you don’t have the right to life, what do you have. You are correct, but like I said, I don’t carry a pocket Constitution and my Kindle is charging.

Have you asked. Point is, this is considered a family issue and many people who have abortions don’t declare the fact at Sunday meeting.
I know a lot of Christian who support that ugly action. I hate abortion, but I can not bring myself to hate the people who do it. I am conflicted because of that fact.
