Don’t know if anyone has reported it here or not, but the left arm that holds the sled on his machine broke about 30 miles out. He and Eric tied it together with rope and came in second. They were ahead before that happened. Tough break, literally.
Another thing. I’ve been reading the Irondog facebook and there are a lot of Alaskans who are implying that Todd is a cheater in the races. It all sounds like jealousy. I reminded them that if it were not for Todd nobody in the world would have ever even heard of the Irondog race and if Todd stops racing nobody in the world will ever care about the Irondog again. Was I being snarky?
