The one I was on was right after 9/11, so a good # had cancelled...but one day at lunch we sat with 3 guys...NY emergency responders....bless their hearts, they just wanted to be left alone....to forget....

I just noticed your call for humor up-thread. No new jokes here but we saw some excellent acts on board ship.
One was Ron Lucas a ventriloquist who put on a very entertaining show with his puppets and throwing his voice.
After him, at the late night comic show they had a commedian who was simply excellent. He worked the audience, drew his lines from people in the crowd and had us breathless and near tears with laughter. That’s real talent.
It’s also wonderfully cleansing to laugh that hard, we enjoyed it immensely.
