Daniels won a straw poll of over 300 GOP activists at the Roanoke Conference in Washington State over the weekend. He got 31% of the vote. Second was MR with 14%. Huck got 3% but still beat Palin who got 2%.

It looks like this group (at least) wants substance and sobriety without drama.

P>And, when the number one problem in the country is the economy and fiscal responsibility it would be naive to think that folks are going to vote social issues.
