I don’t know how you would get Charlie back to the set soon and maintain treatment. Once Belushi did so by hiring a watchdog on himself 24-7; but once he was gone Belushi slipped.
I guess if he goes to work he will need that watchdog and then when done he needs to stay at a treatment facility for as long as it takes.
I always liked Mr. Sheen. I hadn't watched his show. But my brother convinced me. I started watching the old shows on satellite. They are very funny.
Friday night I watched the funniest yet episode. His brother Allan gets a dummy and takes up ventriloquism. Those dummies creap me out anyway.

I gather Sheen’s big problem is that he managed to give himself a sex hernia. This happens with fair frequency in combination with cocaine or ecstasy.
In his situation, divorced three times, four kids, a heck of a lot of alimony, so his future earnings are limited. He has probably reached the conclusion that he will never be in a stable, happy marriage. So he probably sees hedonism as a serious option, especially with those who also don’t want to get married.
So he’s on the downhill side of life. With that lifestyle, he is not looking at an extended retirement, so, why not?
If Charlie was a poor, black man, they would have thrown his ass in jail and threw away the key a long time ago.
I hope he is able to clean himself up and conquer his demons. Along with everything else he needs to do in this regard, he needs to quit his show - the character he plays is too close to the person he has become in real life. It’s almost as though that role is an enabler for him.
