(Jan. 22, 2011) — Yesterday an article was published in the Honolulu Star Advertiser entitled “Abercrombie Drops Quest for Obama’s Birth Certificate” written by an unnamed Associated Press writer. Here are my comments:
In an incredibly lame and cowardly anticlimactic announcement, hiding behind his spokeswoman Donalyn Dela Cruz, Abercrombie’s spokeswoman, in plain political defense, in the Hawaiian Sun Advertiser, said this:
There is nothing more that Gov. Abercrombie can do within the law to produce a document. Unfortunately, there are conspirators who will continue to question the citizenship of our president.
The Star Advertiser continues:
Abercrombie, who was a friend of Obama’s parents and knew him as a child, launched an effort last month to find a way to dispel conspiracy theories that the president was born elsewhere. The governor said at the time he was bothered by people who questioned Obama’s birthplace for political reasons.
But Abercrombie’s investigation reached a dead end when Louie told him the law restricted his options.
Here are several important points that need to be noted that only make the situation all the more suspicious to any reasonable person, Dela Cruz’s Hillary Clinton-esque “right-wing conspiracy defense” notwithstanding:
1 - Bad political news is always dropped late Friday at the end of the news cycle in the hope that it will disappear from general view. The timing almost conclusively suggests that they do not see this as a win for themselves.
2 - Rush Limbaugh has officially, albeit belatedly, entered the debate full-throttle with the opening of his show this same day, highlighting the absurdity of the Abercrombie quest investigation. This must have been pretty alarming to the Obama camp, as Limbaugh’s embracing of the issue is likely to make it safe for many others outside of Limbaugh’s 20,000,000-person listenership to do the same.

"Conspiracy Theorists" would be acceptable to describe the 160 million or so Americans who, according to recent polls, aren't at all confident they've been told the truth and (therefore, by definition) suspect or "theorize" there's a "conspiracy" going on.
Couldn’t you ask the Speaker to have the man show at least that he was born in the United States? Or is this too much to ask?
Another suggestion would be to have John Boehner seated beside him an honorary guest.

Maybe Obama isn’t the intended beneficiary?
Setting up a legal defense in advance of a civil or criminal case involving the defrauding of donors to a specific hosptial on Oahu perhaps?
It is obvious Obama is a hoax. If he had a real Certificate it would have been produced long ago. Do not fall for the Liblogic.
Campaign managers will tell you that if there's stuff out there that puts your candidate in a bad light and you know it's gonna come out, it's better to put it out yourself. That way you can control what is said and how it plays. Also, you get it out early and from now on it's "old news".
In addition, Abercrombie's failure to obtain the BC can be used to quash the story and discredit any evidence that comes to light from now on:
"Abercrombie...launched an effort last month to find a way to dispel conspiracy theories that the president was born elsewhere"...but the investigation "reached a dead end when Louie told him the law restricted his options."
So if the highest official in the State was unable to "legally" obtain the BC, it implies that any documents discovered must have been illegally obtained, and therefore suspect.
Furthermore, since the highest official has weighed in on the story, there's no higher authority to appeal to and the story's dead (they hope).

It’s not his citizenship that’s at question, its whether he qualified to hold the office of the presidency. That requires the person to be a natural born citizen as depicted in the link below.
As with all things political, follow the money or the power.
What would the Gov have to gain by making this an issue?
I say it could be that he was jockeying for something in return, and wasn’t getting it at first. The Pres__ent then either called his bluff and threatened suit, or he paid him off.
It will be interesting to see what happens to the Gov’s career in the next two years.
As much fun this is, LTC Lakin being in prison for asking the same question is infuriating.
Something along that line is what happened. His Grandparents were up to their necks in it.

Hawaiian government officials need to be investigated—NOW.
Your scenario would entail that 0h0m0 and his peeps know that more stuff is going to break open, so they put Abercommie up there to “defuse” it before it breaks.
This “defusing” is backfiring; it is the breaking stuff. It will be interesting to see what else comes out.

This is NOT about defeating Obama. It is about the rule of law and defending the Constitution!
Without the rule of law and the Constitution we will devolve into a Third World hell hole!
If Obama is eligible to be president he has every right to occupy the White House and complete his full term.

Interesting reading over there....
I somehow get the feeling that there is something there, something that the Dems are deathly afraid will come out. Maybe there really IS a BC, but there are a few boxes left blank or with unexpected words like "unknown" or "Dunham" or "Soetero" written in them.
I do know that since Abercrombie couldn't do it, it will be said that NO ONE has the standing or legal right to see those files. Therefore, any document published now is either forged or stolen.
Worth remembering this aspect of the “Won’s” recent history-—I read this comment on another site and thought it pretty clever: (read the response, as well.)

Man, I agree with you that the Constitution is supreme...but that horse is already OUT of the barn. Maybe he is eligible, maybe he isn’t...but the REAL WORLD facts are: Hussein lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, and he isn’t moving out until January 2013.
Any attempt otherwise will negate our side of the aisle in the point of view of the public and he’ll get a rally effect. Look at the Impeached One, Bent 42: he BLATANTLY committed perjury and the abuse of power...and his popularity GREW because the American people saw him as a victim.
I agreed with the Republicans then...they did the right thing by the BOOK. But their work suffered—Clinton rode the gravy train in public opinion, his lazy attitude toward terrorism and keeping government fraud and involvement in Wall Street was allowed to continue...and America suffered as a result.
So let’s make things miserable for Hussein’s agenda of crippling taxes and overreaching government UNTIL a real lover of the Constitution takes over.
And I will be with you in making sure there are mechanisms to verify eligibility of all candidates henceforth.
Maybe you have always thought this way and I haven’t seen it posted before. But, why be so vociferous against pursuing this now when it seems to be gaining legs and we have the House to stop ANYTHING he tries to do that concerns you per your posts?
Obama has occupied the Oval Office for 2 years and 2 days, and in all that time, not one “news person” has ever asked him, “Mr. Obama, why won’t you release your bona fides?”
Not one.
