Not familiar with the "30" usage. Most of my years in ham radio have been technically oriented. Designing packet radio protocols and implementing. Occasionally chatting with friend to/from work on 2m. ARES/RACES activities during emergencies. Very computer oriented "ham" activities. Transmitter hunts were always a favorite. I built damn good gear and was often the winner or just a couple spots back. Never had much interest in low band or contests.

I didn't really care for Wells. Sort of a dead pan voice on the air. Simone was a little better. Punnett I can take or leave. The program varies. More often than not, I turn it off. Especially given the need to hop out of bed at 6:25 AM to make my way through 1 to 1.5 hours of commute to work in San Diego.
