Living in West Texas on the edge of the Chihuahua Desert (even thought they do not say that, it is true). There may be one true owl nesting here in the winter. There is a walking park with xerioscaping, there are ground owls there. Small and hard to catch a glimpse of them. God's Hand is everywhere in myriad forms for those with eyes to see. Beauty comes in many sizes, shades, colors and types.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Oh, I love West Texas, so. I lived in Midland many years ago, and cried for three years after we left (for business changes). What wonderful people live there!

I agree - “Beauty comes in many sizes, shades, colors and types”.

We live in the San Joaquin Valley. We don’t see many owls but I hear them several times a week. Usually I hear them very early in the morning.

God gave us so much beauty; you can see it everywhere.

I just found out..that with all my fascination with Sandhill Cranes..I did not realize that Muleshoe Texas has one of the largest winter populations in the nation of Sandhill cranes at the Refuge there.
I knew you said you love to watch ..Are you near there?

That’s a long way from where I am in central Texas.
