I just found out..that with all my fascination with Sandhill Cranes..I did not realize that Muleshoe Texas has one of the largest winter populations in the nation of Sandhill cranes at the Refuge there.
I knew you said you love to watch ..Are you near there?

Muleshoe is a place I have not been too or through. The name is a stand out though and easy to remember.

Big Spring area is about 40 miles away. They have many cranes wintering there yearly. There is a big Rodeo named the Sand Hill Crane Rodeo in Odessa yearly.
