So you've found an article on the interweb you want to post on FR. You have clicked "Post" and put in the title of the article, your topics, your key words, source and source url. Now you come to the "body of thread" section. You want to post the article just as it appears on the website you lifted it from complete with all the links, pics and snazzy fonts. Here is a quick and easy way to do it. You need a text to html converter. WAIT! Don't give up yet. Bear with me. You don't need to download anything and all you have to really know is how to copy and paste. You can do this all online with very little effort. There is an easy online text to html converter at this link: http://knopok.net/text-to-html.html (the best and easiest one out there IMO). Click on the link(or cut and paste the link to the address bar in another window) then save it to your favorite places. Then open it in a seperate window from FR. Next, go to the window with the article that you want to post open in it. If the article has a "print" option or icon, click on that to get rid of all the banners and ads you don't want to show up in your post. Don't worry if it doesn't have one because you are going to copy and paste the article to the html converter and you can touch the article up by deleteing banners and ads once you paste the article to the converter. So take your pointer and start at the beginning of the article, click and drag until you get to the end of the article or wherever you want to stop, highlighting the whole area. Right click on the highlighted area and select "copy". Now go to the html converter window. You will see a big box with all these toolbars that looks much like what you see when you open microsoft word. Don't worry, the only icons on these tool bars that you really need to know are "source" and "new page". The "source" icon is in the upper lefthand corner and conveniently says "source". The "new page" icon is two icons over from the "source" icon and looks like a blank page. Start by clicking on the "new page" icon to clear out all the unnecessary text that the website uselessly added to the big white box below all the toolbar icons. The big white box below all the icons is where you are now going to paste your article. Right click in the big white box and click on the paste option in the drop down box. Your article should appear exactly as it appears in the original article. Now comes the cool part(IMO). Go up to the above mentioned "source" icon and click on it. This will convert the article to html which is what you need to paste in the "body of thread" section of your FR post to get all the bells and whistles. So right click on the converted html text and click on" select all", then right click on the highlighted area and select "copy". Now go to the FR window where your post is and right click on the "body of thread" box and select "paste". Your article should appears as html in the box. Click on preview and then post and you are done. Happy posting and Happy New Year!
I see what you mean, by looking at the last article you posted. All of the clickable links (i.e. clickable words in the article) are maintained for FReepers to use. That’s great!

I had wondered if posters needed to enter all of the HTML code manually for the links to appear like that. It would certainly be time consuming to do the links manually.
If you are referring to Delacon, how did you find that? I thought it was only available to FReepers on their own “Account” page.
I don't know......But what I do know is that if you're at the mall this weekend shopping for sales or returning stuff and driving around the parking lot looking for a place to park, you don't want to skip a space there or else the guy right behind you will zip in and take it then you're left to continue driving around aimlessly......
lol
On every term paper, just begin with the intro., “I dontfeel like woring bout no for matt stuff and no teacher stuf.”
My Malwarebytes blocked malware from your link.
Gee, thanks.
I don't think you were here in the days when italians were a real pain in the neck around here......
No, those were my stats.
I love FR but this is the only blog I frequent that requires HTML tags. Well, I guess it doesn’t REQUIRE them if you have a flame suit.
You’ve posted almost 7 threads per day, and about 15 replies per day.
Paragraphs and lots of white space
are our friends.
I think it was supposed to be a 3D-looking cube. At a minimum, the coloring is all wrong.
LMAO!!
The ultimate FR FAIL!
trying again . . . I could look up how to do this . . . vs futzing around .
basically the “br” (break)
code will do what you ask.
br in left and right carets
Thank you for the thread and forgive my snarkiness. I am half demented.
You’d like a break?
KHQ SPOKANE
[station break]
Because there was some html code embedded in the text yet the poster did not insure that the whole post was html coded.
That mushes everything together.
One either has to ferret out the troubling code and remove it
or
insure that all the text is properly html coded into paragraphs etc.
