Silly theory. Since some animals are pure carnivores, it doesn't seem likely that a more carnivorous diet would somehow lead to extinction.

Seeing as how reading the fossil record is like reading a book with most of the pages either missing or not yet discovered, perhaps the sophistication of these people demonstrates that they are us.
