My dad had good stories of his time on a destroyer in WW11, he said called it the Donald Duck Navy because of all the hastily trained crews thrown out there into the Pacific. Lots of odd things went on apparently from his stories and reading articles like this. God bless all those grand young men who did their best and stood up for their country. Thanks for the article.
