Man, I just love these energy from water schemes! They’re my absolute favorites. I think a good one comes along about every 2-5 years.

Don’t know what it is about water that makes it such a perpetual object for unlimited energy scams, though. Maybe because it is so common. After all, we have oceans of the stuff just for the taking.

But dirt is common as well and it too is made from atoms and stuff, and yet no one ever has any interesting energy-from-dirt schemes. Maybe it’s because we all have water delivered to our houses and it comes pouring out of our faucets. So, maybe if dirt came out of faucets it too would get more consideration as a source of unlimited energy.

However, the real kicker, I suspect, is that water is composed of oxygen and hydrogen, and we all know how much energy is given off when you burn hydrogen and oxygen together, right? So therefore if water is made from hydrogen and oxygen, we should be able to burn water to get energy, right? QED.

One, cold fusion has never been done in the lab, regardless of what you think. Asking for a working car or model is hardly raising the bar, it is simply asking the people who are making these claims to put up or shut up. Do I believe this Hydrogen BS? Nope, and if you do you are considerably more naive than you sound.

“Is it possible to set up a system in such a way that putting a tiny amount of energy into a reaction in that system can get back hundreds or many thousands of times more energy than you expended in getting the reaction started? “

Oh yes indeed! It’s called dynamite. Apply a small amount of energy in the form of a match to the fuse, and very shortly hundreds of thousands of times of energy are released.

Fortunately, the rest of the world is more stable than dynamite. It’d be a real bummer to somehow light the oceans on fire and have them explode like a gazillion bazillion tons of dynamite.

There’s no K.V. Ramanujachary in the physics department of Rowan University.

Try Chemistry and Biochemistry

Who is suggesting anything like that could happen?

I picture the day when either we have used our entire supply of water to generate power, leaving us all to dehydrate to death while our plant life wastes away and life as we know it ends.

Or, somebody drops their power converter over the side of their boat by mistake, and it starts a reaction which converts the entire ocean into energy, and the planet goes up in a fireball.

We should all be very thankful that it is so hard to get energy out of water. The alternative would be a disaster.

I can get a 1993 Ford Taurus to achieve 900 mpg using only a ball of string, a can of Crisco-brand vegetable shortening, three rubber bands, a ball bearing and $20 million in venture capital.

Anybody wanna get me going? You could make zillions.

All the while in this backwater technology, guys have produced both.

They say they have produced both.

And, they say they'll have their working model in 2011 ... how can we believe what you say, given that they evidently don't have a working model yet?

The same “Leap of Faith” is required to believe in “Man Made Global Warming”
Which is why “Carbon Credits” are equally as valuable as this “Stock”
Maybe if we get Congresscritters to Subsidize this instead of Ethanol at least I wont have to rebuild the carburetors on my M/C and Lawnmower every year.
Your moving in the correct direction and the Research is really fascinating but George Noory hasn’t done a show on it yet so I’m still on the fence.

I’ve checked them out - they seem to be legit. I know it sounds crazy, but the test results speak volumes. Even Harvard did a spectrocopic study on the pure hydrogen plasma generated by the Blacklight process and, according to the continuum spectrum it produced, it would seem that electrons were falling below the conventional ground state. That would certainly explain where all the power generated comes from, i.e. there is no violation of natural laws. Unless someone here can offer a conventional explanation for those incredible test results - GEN3, a highly capable scientific research company, couldn’t come up with one - I think Dr. Mills just might be on to something. I could be wrong, since I’m not an expert, but I don’t think so. I’ve shown the test data to a physics professor at the University I attended and he was absolutely stunned by the test data that came out of the Harvard study and the impact this could have on conventional quantum theory. If the data is accurate - and he had no reasonn to believe that it was - he said that this could be one of the greatest scientific discoveries of all time.

Even if the testing proves this beyond a doubt, the luddites and there lackeys along with all the environmental anti-humanists will be up in arms as the bane to any anti-humanist gaia worshiping simpleton will oppose this in earnest why? because this would allow the expansion of the modern human race beyond any imaginary limit on future energy peak.

It is has been documented that with high intensity hydroponics the yielded per acre of land in an indoor farm vertically stacked in buildings could in theory support 50-500 billion people yes thats right we have the technology to feed 50 billion people if we mass produce industrial vertical hydroponics, with high pressure full spectrum sodium vapor lights, we will never run out of Na or SIO2 for the lamps EVER. Fresh water..desal ask the Israelites they are the world leaders in Desal tech. Protein GMO nitrogen fixing cyanobacteria as well as heterotrophic E.Coli can be grown in vats that are 100% complete in the 9 essential amino acids. Make high protein feed with mono/polysaccharides again from hydroponic cyanobacteria that secrete 5 & 6 carbon sugars to monogastics like us or swine and fowl. The limit on the carrying capacity of Terra is affordable plentiful energy not aridable land or fresh water this is a well documented fact.

UT Austin has been working on cyanobacteria that secrete sugars and hemicellulose that are nitrogen fixing too cows eat hemi and we eat mono/poly sugars the research is for biofuel but at those production levels billions could be feed instead of burning in our cars. The idea is to use the ethanol as a way to take off peak energy turn it to photons and get a store-able product out of the photons. The ARPA is already funding GMO bacteria that can take electricity directly and make hydrocarbons from water and CO2 from the air. If an E.Coli can make methane, butanol, acetone or ethanol these are only a few molecules away from stuff we can eat, ethanol is already a significant daily caloric factor in many Americans. Acetone can be dimered to isopentane or trimered to C12-15 AKA jet/disel fuel.

ABE fermentation is WW2 tech making a GMO E.coli that uses anodic e- rather than ATP for cellular energy is also being done. combine and you have Electrofuels..or better yet electrofoods E.coli have been know to produce free fatty acids, mono and poly sugars, complete proteins, ketones, aldehyde’s of which for food Formaldehyde is the most signifigant as Formaldehyde can be oligomered with 6 of itself to glucose the sugar that we all need everyday as the base of the ATP cycle in our cells. GMO E.coli can make any or all of these exclusively with the right genetic manipulation.

The genetic tool kit to turn off ethanol production genes and instead secrete the sucrose which has to be made first anyways is possible and being done at the lab scale already. In other words humans already know how to side step photosyn and go directly from electricity to food again if their going after biofuel the scale is so massive billions could be feed. No limitless cheap energy will EVER be allowed on this planet, to many things can happen that take the status quo out and bring in a new era of human achievements this will not be allowed by the power in control, even if this works it will not see the light of day.

A remarkable new energy source from fractional hydrogen will allow a gallon of ordinary water to become the energy equivalent of 200 barrels of oil, a team of physicists working near the onetime laboratories of Thomas Edison and Albert Einstein are saying.
Obviously the work of a disinterested journalist. ;')
...The method of electricity production allows the fuel to reproduce itself by diverting part of the energy output to a catalyst that is then regenerated so fuel is only needed once. Using the process, about 10 100-watt bulbs could be lit 24 hours a day for a penny.
Thanks Kevmo. :')

Thanks for the ping.

Skeptical of these claims. There is one thing I like about them though.
"A working model is promised for 2011."
I like that. It would be interesting to see an expansion, modification, etc, of the Lamb shift or some previously undiscovered anomaly that can be utilized. They claim working models in less than a year. Regardless of the outcome I'd like to see the results.

Now BlackLight is promising an engine technology aimed at driving a car 5,000 miles on a gallon of water.

Hey if they said they were going to build an engine that would power a car for 10 miles on a gallon of water I would be interested, but 5,000 miles!
The good Captain Kirk and old Scotty would be envious.

In 2011 there’ll be another “article” about how the working model will be promised for 2012, probably linked with the Mayan calendar as well. ;’)

Could be. I still like the general angle of extrapolating beyond the requirement for ‘renormalization’. If it fails, it probably will IMO, it’s still a better track to follow.
