Mark Stein, Tim Bogert, and Carmine Appice.

I still have a vinyl copy of "Beck, Bogert, and Appice" around somewhere. Rod Stewart did the vocals IIRC.

No, he did not. The original plan, when Bogert and Appice said they wanted out of the Fudge in 1970, was for a BBAS group. But Beck got in a terrible car wreck and BA went on to form “Cactus” for about two years-—great band, horrible vocalist. They never got above minor cult status, although their jams are some of the best ever recorded. (I had the opportunity to play with Jim McCarty, the guitarist, in my band for three nights. Phenomenal). Anyway, when Beck healed, Stewart was solo and so BBA was formed with really no lead vocalist. Neither Carmine nor Tim were good enough vocally to carry a band, nor were the songs great.

Stewart did the vocals on Beck-ola. Morning Dew was one of them.
