That picked my curiosity so I did a little research, and I did find a handful of Muslims that fought in the revolutionary and civil wars. Most of the Muslims were slaves brought over here, purchased from other Muslims in africa.
From my recollection the Arab Muslims invaded Africa and forced the negros to convert to Islam, but they were always second class citizens and slaves. When I see so many black Americans converted to islam now, I feel as though history is repeating itself.
