1. Was sending a human to the Moon a good thing?

Yes.

2. Should NASA build a space station as part of an international project with other countries?

It already has (ISS).

3. Do you think NASA should send astronauts to Mars?

No, not yet (because I think that the money could be better spent for other space projects).

4. Was sending a chimpanzee to space a good idea?

At that time, when it was not yet possible for us to send human astronauts, it was a good idea.

5. Is ending the Space Shuttle program a good idea?

Yes, it is time to "move on" to other and more ambitious projects.

Regards,

These questions are so simplistic as to be meaningless. There is no right or wrong answer to them — it depends on what you mean by “good thing.”

And the second question is dumb — NASA has already done that.

1. Was sending a human to the Moon a good thing?

Yes, it was a worthy goal for the United States to shoot for - and resulted in many innovations.

2. Should NASA build a space station as part of an international project with other countries?

No. Given that the United States is footing almost the entire cost any way, we should do it ourselves.

3. Do you think NASA should send astronauts to Mars?

Yes, this is also an exciting and worthwhile goal for the U.S. to undertake.

4. Was sending a chimpanzee to space a good idea?

Yes, at the time this was done the U.S. was fully engaged in the Cold War and needed to proceed with it's own manned space flight program. Sending Ham on a sub orbital flight prior to Alan Shepard's sub orbital flight and then Enos into orbit prior to John Glenn's orbital flight were necessary steps in that program.

5. Is ending the Space Shuttle program a good idea?

Yes and no. Yes because the Shuttle fleet is past due to be retired. No because it was short sighted not to have a replacement in place prior to shutting doen Shuttle flights.

1. Was sending a human to the Moon a good thing?

Yes. It spurred and sped up development in many ways across many disciplines.

2. Should NASA build a space station as part of an international project with other countries?

No. It just adds complications and cost to the projects.

3. Do you think NASA should send astronauts to Mars?

Yes.

4. Was sending a chimpanzee to space a good idea?

Yes. Actually, the first were squirrel monkeys. One of them, Baker, lived for about 25 years after his flight.

5. Is ending the Space Shuttle program a good idea?

No. There is no replacement for it at this time.

1: Yes. Sending humans to the moon is a good thing. Letting them come back? I don’t know about that...
2: Yes. Build the Space Station.
3: Yes. But when we send the astronauts to mars we should make sure each astronaut is accompanied by their local politicians.
4: No. We should not send monkeys into outerspace. We should keep sending them to Washington D.C. like we always do every couple of years.
5: Ending the space shuttle program is not a good idea. Nancy Pelosi will need it in the future to get back and forth between Washington D.C. and California whine country.

Yes to all. Ending the shuttle with the current design is a good idea, but we should have been bringing in a new design years ago.

1. Was sending a human to the Moon a good thing?
One. Everything that actually does occur is ALWAYS a good thing. That's because G-d made the world that way.

Two. Was phrasing this question in the passive voice, using an imperfect continuing action form of the past tense with no subject a good thing? See next.

Three. Why is the person asking you this question, and why in this way?

Four. Is it good that a teacher is asking you to second guess what already happened and further to question whether is was good to happen?

Five. Stick with this. Don't let your brain freeze yet!

Six. Was sending you to school this day when you got this assignment a good thing?

Seven. Why?

Eight. Was it good for your teacher to ask you this question? Why?

Nine. Ask your teacher what she means by "good". What do you think she will answer? Why?

Ten. Who says what is good? Why do they have the right to say what is good?

2. Should NASA build a space station as part of an international project with other countries?
One. Everything that actually does occur is ALWAYS a good thing. That's how G-d made the world. Viewing the past that way is a very helpful and sane way of viewing it.

Two. The Space Station is already built and operational. It is still being added to. Construction began in 1998 and it is expected to remain operational through 2020.

Three. Remind your teacher of this fact, and ask if she could restate the question.

Four. What does the space station do, besides being "international", causing many people to bring home less money to pay their own way in the world because the police will come and arrest them unless they pay the taxes needed to pay for this huge expense?

Five. Can the people who pay for this -- your mom and dad and all other taxpayers -- get a chance to stay at the Space Station, or is it only for the politically chosen elite?

Six. Would you like to be forced to pay so that other people get to fly in space?

3. Do you think NASA should send astronauts to Mars?
No. I think that a PRIVATE company would someday be able to offer space flights to Mars and the Moon. I do not think it is proper to forcibly take the money of other people to pay for such endeavors.
4. Was sending a chimpanzee to space a good idea?
Yes. It was great and necessary idea, for by doing so we learned how to protect the lives of humans who later went into space. And as a nation, for reasons of national defense, we have to be able to send men into space.
5. Is ending the Space Shuttle program a good idea?
Yes. In addition to being funded by forcible taking of the honest earnings of fellow citizens, the Shuttle is unsafe and deadly to the point that managers of this program should be arrested and tried for manslaughter and attempted manslaughter.
