BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Shoppers waited out in the cold wet weather for hours. When the doors opened at 4 a.m. the Black Friday chaos turned ugly.

Seconds after the doors opened, something went dangerously wrong.
Crazed Black Friday shoppers began piling up on each other.
"It went from controlled to a mob in less than five minutes and it just got nasty," said a shopper.
When officials heard the screams, they ran over right away to help.
Shopper Rich Mathewson said, "It was a lot of angry people just jumping in after we waited patiently for a long time. It actually started way before that, people started getting angry at everybody."
After it happened, one man bent over in pain but he took off into the North Buffalo Target store seconds later, along with everyone else.
Seconds after the pile up, shoppers got back to business. News 4 called store officials to see if anyone was injured, but no one was available to comment.

People sleep out 10+ hours in the rain to save $100....then spend time shopping.
Not much “savings” when you view it on a per hour basis.

I use to go to Toys R Us on Black Friday in a very RED state and would wait in line for maybe 30 minutes, no more, with a few other nice and gentle soccer Mom’s and grab what I needed, pay and out the door in less than 15 minutes.
I would NEVER go up against this sort of mob you have pictured to save a buck or snag that must have toy. My kids are now 13 & 16 and we sleep late. :)
I’m just a sick, twisted freak, cuz me and my kids get up, grab some hot coffee and egg mcmuffins and sit in the parking lot at Walmart or Target and are entertained as we watch them rush the door like cattle, then argue and fight.
There is nothing I want bad enough to actually mingle with those people.

I’d bet you’d be hard pressed to find any of them willing to spend a dime on health insurance, but they’ll camp out on the sidewalk the night before in order to spend hundreds on stuff they want, but don’t really need.

Hey Obama told them it’d be taken care of. Don’t ruin the buzz.
These are the same people that crank their heat they have no intention of paying during the winter ‘can’t shut off’ period, and when they complain about their apartment being too hot, the hvac guy responding finds the heater set to 90 and the windows open. No freaking joke.
