I voted for Tancredo when there wasn’t any other choice in the governor’s race here in Colorado and was happy to do so.
But: Tancredo lost by a much wider margin than expected, and that was with no negative ads at all by Hickenlooper.
If he couldn’t win the governorship in Colorado against a wet fish like John Hickenlooper, he probably can’t win, period.
As for Allen West, shouldn’t he be allowed to, you know, maybe serve out a term or two before we decide that he’s the saviour of the Republic?
Just a thought...

If Tom Tancredo can't get elected governor ...?

Tancredo couldn’t get to 40% in a medium-sized western state. He has absolutely no realistic chance at being President and I think he would be the first to tell you that.

Romney. Huckabee. Perry. Pick the one you think is prettiest on TV. It won’t actually change the way the country is governed.

I like West. He seems to really love his country. I just don’t know all his stances, particularly regarding taxes and immigration.

I'm going to get slammed for this... But if we want to win in 2012 I think we need a Giuliani/ Rubio ticket. Maybe a Chris Christie in there, but Christie/Rubio — don't know about two new guys on the scene and Giuliani/ Christie— I know how you'd all feel about two north easterners. I think I'm being a realist, Giuliani can win NY, maybe NJ. Rubio— up the Hispanic vote for the GOP and get Florida. Ohio is in such shape Obama can't win it— do the math, election won. I believe Giuliani will be the best on the war on terror, appoint conservative judges and rid us of all of the czars, Marxist and socialists running this administration. I love Palin but I worry about her polarizing the electorate and Obama squeaking back in. We conservatives would hold Giuliani's feet to the fire so to speak, and having lived in the NY area when he was mayor, I think he's up to the task. Now some one can post his picture in a dress, but I'll take the dress (which was basically a costume) over socialism any day. Bring me a better candidate that can win, and I'll support them. Tancredo can't even win in his home state and Allen West is a first term congressman that I like but I don't think he's ready.
