I voted for Tancredo when there wasn’t any other choice in the governor’s race here in Colorado and was happy to do so.

But: Tancredo lost by a much wider margin than expected, and that was with no negative ads at all by Hickenlooper.

If he couldn’t win the governorship in Colorado against a wet fish like John Hickenlooper, he probably can’t win, period.

As for Allen West, shouldn’t he be allowed to, you know, maybe serve out a term or two before we decide that he’s the saviour of the Republic?

Just a thought...

I think Tancredo could have come a lot closer and possibly gotten it had there been two people in the race to focus on--if Dan Maes had gotten out before the ballots went out. I think it's amazing he did as well as he did considering the turmoil that was going on and he was a third party candidate. Little time, little money, and third party and still got nearly 37% of the vote.

As far as president, I definitely would take a Tancredo in there, but I don't think he has enough of a broad spectrum of appeal to make in that kind of election.
