I understand your viewpoint. My take on this is that it is a preemptive strike against the pubbie, aka RINO, establishment, which allowed the RATS in New England to choose the pubbie candidate. McLame was chosen and annointed long before the primary in my state. I'm thinking it is a message to the elite that we're not just going to accept whom they shove down our throats, that if they don't run a CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATE THEY WILL NOT WIN! And, it will be their fault. The RINO running for state senate in my district did NOT get my vote. I wrote in someone for whom I can stand. That will be the case up and down the ballot as far as I am concerned until the end of my days.

At least that is my understanding of the anti-romney campaign. He isn't acceptable. He'll never be acceptable. And we won't support him just because he's a pubbie. That isn't good enough anymore.

Maybe the elite will get it.

I think Romney’s ship has sailed. If he couldn’t beat McCain, then he’s not the guy now...and just look how he destroyed the individual health care insurance market in Taxachussetts...;-))

The "elite" have to get past their take on the Tea Party as a temper tantrum, first.

Us barbarians are at their gates and they prefer to ignore us.
