no expert (although I am a cancer survivor) but I suspect that it’s immensely difficult to study cancer in ancient human remains....
how many types of cancer cells will survive over centuries?
how many ancient human remains have even been tested in the appropriate ways to detect evidence of cancers?
sounds like someone went off half-cocked and half-assed b/c they had a ‘political’ point they wanted to make against ‘modern’ civilizations??
They died so young. The poor were not taken care of and the rich were hidden. The biological process for cancerous cells was there, unfortunately, as well.
I would think there’s evidence of more cancer now because there are more people and they live longer.
In ancient times people didn’t live long enough to get cancer.
Or, as my grandsons say, “when you were a boy”. :)
