Hey, the date on my box of Top Ramen says good until Jan 2030. Not bad.
What? No 2,500 year old eggs?
Ramen Noodles rock! Or they become rock after a few millenia
I’m willing to take someone’s word for it that these were “skillful” food preparations..... not interested in sampling after 2500 years!
..and you are hungry again after only 1500 years.
I'll buy day old bread. I'm drawing the line at 2,500 year old bread.
Ha! This reminds me of something that happened to me many years ago. After I graduated from school, I got my first apartment. One day, after I’d lived there for about 3 months, I took one of my sports coats to the local cleaners and dropped it off to be cleaned- and then promptly forgot all about it. Needless to say, over the years I moved and got a couple of new apartments, then a condo and finally my own home. Well, it’s 22 years later and I’m going through some old papers one day and I come across the laundry ticket. I was just gonna throw it away when I had second thoughts. The cleaners was about 45 minutes away and I didn’t have anything to do that afternoon, so I thought, “What the heck, what do I have to lose.” So I got in the car, drove to the cleaners and walk in. The guy behind the counter is an older gentleman who looks familiar, but I’m not sure it’s the same owner. Well, I’m a little embarrassed, but I give him the ticket. He looks at it and walks into the backroom. He returns about five minutes later and says, “It’ll be ready Tuesday.”
I bet they’re way past the expiration date.
Ding Ho China down the street has bid on it for Christmas Day.
No problem - if they used MSG, it’s still safe to eat. :-)
Or maybe not...
Chinese Noodle Dinner Buried for 2,500 Years after delivery boy stuck in 500 mile-long Guangzhou traffic jam
LOLOL!!
Now *that* right there was funny, yes it was! ;-)
Harumph!
I wonder if they found writing near it declaring “No MSG.”
