DWTS Season 11 enters its eighth week of competition tonight (Nov 8) and thus, the Bristol Palin enigma continues.
'Bristol the Pistol' has taken aim & shot down better qualified & much more fiercely talented candidates in her quiet wake to win the coveted mirror ball trophy.
But the burning question remains: how does Palin continue to linger on the competition & stir the ire of many DWTS fans who view the show as a talent (not popularity) contest?
While continually scoring at or near the bottom of the Judge's leader board since the onset of Season 11, Palin has somehow beat out competitors who have outscored and outperformed her, i.e., Florence Henderson, Rick Fox, and even Mike The Situation Sorrentino who exited the show at Week 4.
But what is really at the crux of the Bristol Palin matter is not the fact that Palin continues to receive enough votes to stay on DWTS. That part is evident.
The real question is why & where those votes come from. That is, are those votes generated by Sarah Palin supporters, or are they cast because people really like Bristol?
Hopefully, it's because people truly like 'Alaska's Favorite Daughter', find her refreshing and just want to see her win because of who she is.

Just woke up my husband searcing for his cell phone...:)
I think she’s even a bit leaner than when she was in Dirty Dancing, which I’ve watched a bazillion times. I hate her. J/k!

I have 4 new addresses and I made a note of all for next week
Right. Those judges are democrats.
Okay, I remember Nicole now. She was an excellent dancer and certainly deserved to win; it didn’t hurt that she had some musical experience from the Pussy Cat Dolls, too. Bristol is doing well from her non-musical performance background. I’m not certain, because of the fan voting part, but I think the judges, up to a point, take the celebrities’ varying degrees of experience and rate of improvement into account. Just an impression, though.
I don’t envy them only having 20 minutes to match their dance to their music!!!
Of course, its ABC after all
To have a figure like hers at 50 is unheard of. She has no stomach...
Kurt did a good job for a guy who can’t dance to a count and is musically challenged. Lot’s of charisma.
Which leaves 2 possiblities. No kids or a great surgeon. OK, 3 possiblities. Both of the above.
She talked about her daughter...
Someone mentioned on Bristol’s FB that if you use Google Chrome you can clear you history and vote again. Not that I’m encouraging that...
I just voted.:)
8-8-8
Kurt
Good for you! Don’t stop now! We vote like Acorn!
Nicole was a ringer. I really wanted Evan to win but Nicole did a great job.
You can watch her AT and see how important the leg movements are..I really think Bristol can dance like that if she practices more. She has the legs for it. Her movements weren’t nine material but I believe she could get 10’s for it.
If she makes it to the finals, they should consider doing that dance. She better do some more practicing if she makes it through tonight...and watch Nicole’s legs.
I loathe whiners.
you’re an imbecile.
Nicole was so good she could go back and be an instructor on DWTS.
They said I reached my limit on the cell but I didn’t even vote yet on the phone.
Not good.
