Our first lady, Michelle Obama, stated she was proud of her country for the first time after her husband was nominated as the democrat candidate for POTUS.
I firmly disagreed with her assesment in that I see America as a shining city on a hill - a beacon of freedom and liberty - a last bastion of freedom and liberty on earth.
Now, it didn’t start out that way. I learned it growning up. From the advent of Ragallo hang-gliders to our ultimate landing on the moon which I watched live on TV as a 6 yr old.
I grew up in the 70s when music was flawless in creative excess, even wound up a major Frank Zappa fan.
In my world, space was a frontier and no one told me my life had limits. In fact the opposite was true. I was told I could be and do anything in America I put my mind to.
My father, a maintanence painter and my mother a home maker found a way to send my to a top technical college because I had a nack for aceing tests without really having to study that much (a trend that would drastically change when faced with weeder course CHEM101).
fast forward...
So, I stand agasp at Michell Obama’s comments, but recognizing others have a unique American experience I seek to understand her perspective (as the privilaged potential next FLOTUS).
I think it through logically. After all, I graduated in Microprocessor Architecture having subsequently worked on a Floating Point Unit for a Pentium II clone with MMX.
My conclusion, this woman is driven by an ideology running completely counter to my perception of America, and one that if encourage could destoy the country I and my parents love.
So. You get what we have here today. My offensive post.

As MN Gov. Tim Pawlenty said this evening on Hannity (here I am paraphrsaing): Obama goes around the world and says he is not proud of Anerica. Last night, America said that we are not proud of him. That goes for th witch (keeping with the Halloween theme).

I have to admit I was gruff though. I wasn’t dissapointed, but! I see the next chapter, the two year gauntlet that lie ahead.
It is about educating youth - highschool and college and communicating the left’s larger global strategy.
It is daunting.

I don’t think Michelle will ever be happy. She thinks the world owes her, and has done her wrong. Such people seek others who feast on misery, such as her husband.
Well, America is awake and rejecting the poison of liberalism. Yesterday was a start. The people which both parties ignore are starting to take power back. The only danger is if we go back to sleep.
During the early days of the Obama administration, I saw a Free Republic thread focused on Obama and his Ice Cream fixation.
The thread featured a photo of Michelle scowling at a bowl of Ice Cream.
I asked a question. I submit, for your approval, that question.
How damned evil must you be to scowl at a bowl of Ice Cream?
Is mooch-elle proud of her enormous belts...her large tokus...her gawd-awful fashion sense...her co-mooching mother...her EPIC FAIL husband...Bo, the dog the family can’t stand...her idiocy in regards to “her” garden...her inane “get moving” program...her giving up her law license...her hatred of “whites”...her hatred of America...her love of black theology ideas...her general condescending manner and so forth?

Whoah Eddie - James Brown was a massively talented, ground-breaking, driven artist. The Hardest Working Man in Show Business! The Godfather of Soul! A self-made man. Had his ups and downs but did the work and got the job done! Like his classic, “If it Don’t Work the First Time, Back Up and Try It Again.” And he had a great, fun smile on top of it all. An amazing American. WAaaaaay better looking than Mrs. 0bama, even at the end.
