Voting in Central Florida was quite a sight when the polls opened at 07:00. Still dark, the voting place was a local library. At the door was a poll watcher who had been doing this for twenty plus years, he commented that he had never seen a line form in this quiet, semi bedroom community. He was happy to see a couple of voters show up, per hour, throughout the day during elections past. When the polls opened, there were twenty plus people, already in line to vote. The system went smoothly and everyone had an eye toward anything that might be out of place. ACORN would have a hard time surviving at this polling place, the best they will be able to do is to corrupt the votes later.
Obamas name was frequently used in vain. Comments, among the voters while waiting in line, were rather crude but all were there in response to the dictator want-to-be. If the rest of Florida has motivation and turn out like this, the tsunami will start here.
Yeah, Republicans tend to own umbrellas and raincoats and such.
Great idea on the pic. Tying to temper my expectations. Nice tagline btw.
Headed to the polls right now in Lakeland. Will report back when we get home.
Total registered voters in my precinct is 3807. I was the 1187th voter voting today. That number doesn’t include early and absentee voters. A little more than 30% (so far) have showed up in the rain.
Go get ‘em! THAT’s what is necessary!
Thank you!
Thanks.
Final transmission before voting, unless I have time on my phone.
Wife just voted and said the line is backed up where the voter’s ballot is fed into(after marking ballot), and she said it is very crowded. This is right off of US 50 in Ocoee/Pine Hills.
Savoring the vote against Grayson, but there are other conservative pubbies I’m leaving to support right.......now.
Just got back on my power wheelchair from voting, precinct about one third white, one third blacks, and one third black Jamaican immigrants. Heavy turnout, less cheery then usual, drizzling. I’m in Silver Springs Shores, southeast of Ocala, and had the great pleasure of voting against Alan Grayson.
I voted early so didn’t go to the polls today, but yesterday I drove by my polling place (southeast Ft Lauderdale)...a labor union hall!...and it as totally surrounded by Crist signs. I didn’t call the Supervisor of Elections...I figured it would be more effective to call the county RAT HQ and Meek campaign HQ, so I did. I will check with my neighbors to see if the signs were still there today, but I doubt it. Our county supervisor is pretty straight for a RAT.
We have the same type as you.....I like them!
But we feed our ballots into a box, which accepts them or spits them out.

Voted in Palm Coast about 15 minutes before the polls closed. My district is normally pretty quiet; in past elections, I was often the only voter in the place. Tonight almost every ballot prep station was occupied, and one of the workers said it had been crowded all day. I’m saying prayers that sanity is being restored today...and NOT the way Jon Stewart would have it!
Does anyone know the reason for <1% of precincts counted in FL-22?
Thanks Poo. I was blogging for Webster and I went to his rally last Tuesday too. I used to play softball against him years ago. He is as good a person as you’ll meet. After barely knowing him, he remembered my name when we shook hands after the rally. He certainly surprised me after 20 years. The Republicans and the district can’t go wrong with the guy.
It’s even sweeter that Alan Grayson is banished. Yes!
10:57pm: Scott at 49.45% STINK at 47.10%.
WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT
You Guys are Warriors! I’ve gotten up after a bout with my arthritis. Looks like Grayson and company are toast for sure!
Also, Scott in with 50% to 46% over Sink. Why doesn’t she concede? Trunk full of ballads I suspect. Florida voters still didn’t get the Amendments. Most passed. guess we have more work to do.
Thanks everyone! Pray for my pain. Good Night Warriors!
