I think you need to come back! :)
Of course, Midland/Odessa doesn't have the breathtaking
scenery that you have now, but....we have awesome sunsets!

Remember John
November 4, 2010
John is a humble, uneducated man. Yet God used him to start the peace process in Mozambique. His name is not mentioned in any official documents; all he did was arrange a meeting between two of his acquaintances Kenyan Ambassador Bethuel Kiplagat and a Mozambican. But that introduction set in motion the events that led to a peace treaty after a 10-year civil war.
From that experience, Ambassador Kiplagat learned the importance of respecting everyone. You never dismiss people because they are not educated, because they are white, because they are black, because they are women, because they are old or young. Every encounter is sacred, and we need to value that encounter, the ambassador said. You never know what word might be there for you.
The Bible confirms that this is true. Naaman was a great man in Syria when he got the dreaded disease of leprosy. A servant girl whom he had captured from Israel told Naamans wife that the prophet Elisha could heal him. Because Naaman was willing to listen to this lowly servant girl, his life was spared and he came to know the one true God (2 Kings 5:15).
God often speaks through those to whom few are willing to listen. To hear God, be sure to listen to the humble.
God often uses lowly things
His purpose to fulfill,
Because it takes a humble heart
To carry out His will. D. De Haan
God uses ordinary people to carry out His extraordinary plan.
Read: 2 Kings 5:1-15
Now I know that there is no God in all the earth, except in Israel.
2 Kings 5:15

Kind of a lazy Sunday afternoon here and I'm gonna do something dif'rent today - going to browse through posts since Wednesday, making notes as I go along and making one big post at the end of each day ...DON'T ANSWER THESE! LOL!
Reading your posts the day after the election was so much fun and a great victory for Republicans in taking back the House! Wonderful results in the state legislatures as well, and though we didn't win the majority in the Senate, the Democrats' control there is certainly not as strong as it was!
Fewz, it was especially nice to read your post about the Republicans taking control for the first time in 136 years in your state of Alabama - and a new Republican in the U.S.House in 130 years!
yorkie, your post #331: I hadn't heard about Reid's shenanigans at the polls, but I never put ANYTHING past the dims during election. They've proven over and over and over that they'll do or say or try anything - whatever it takes to pull out a win.
Happy Belated Birthday, Jim Robinson, and Ya'll (you, Amy, Polly, etc) come on down to Texas! :)
On another note, loved all the sweet warm fuzzy pictures! Amy, your posts were so CUTE! Meg, the little blonde cocker spaniel with the freckled nose has the cutest expression. :) And to top it off, there's yorkie's precious cocker puppy getting acquainted with that tiny fawn, and tiapam's own black and white cocker spaniel named "Eby" ! He was beautiful, pam! I have a soft spot for cocker spaniels - growing up, we had cocker spaniels as pets.
