I’m just glad that they should have good baseball weather in both cities. Baseball has rolled the dice and gambled with the weather by stretching out the season so long. So often in recent years, we have seen cold weather for the Series.
Imagine a World Series between the Rockies and Twins some future year. It may take the experience of blizzards and bitter cold to get baseball to slice a few weeks off of the schedule and play the playoffs and World Series in September and early October instead of stretching to late October-early November.
Lets Go Rangers!!!!!
Lets Go Rangers!!!!!
Lets Go Rangers!!!!!
Storm Front Threatens Rain For Game 2
I've been thinking about weather because I live in SoCal. We have had rain coming through and it usually passes through the north first. Also, have been hearing about tornadoes in the DFW area.
And you would think a WS in the west would eliminate these possibilities.
The Giants won the pennant, but the Rangers are going to win the series.
Giants win it in 5 (6 at the most).
This World Series will go down as the least watched in decades. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ...
Giants win the series.
Pelosi loses the election.
Oh well, we in the bay area can dream.
We poor slobs who have Cablevision are denied Fox during the Series. I’ll be damned if I’ll sit in a bar to watch it.
Will switch to Verizon shortly.
Damn straight.
It will be hard to watch, though, because of all the weirdos and scuzzy freaks on the Jints.
Games in Texas will be better. They do the patriotism right and we get glimpses of Dubya;^)
Finally!.....NO YANKEES!....Thank you, Texas!!!
No, I don’t like your split decision. How about the Rangers win the series and Pelosi loses the election. Works better for me ; )
Try an antenna if possible.
Since the switch by telecasters to ATSC in June 2009, the picture quality is perfect since the artifacts of bandwidth compression from the cable headend are eliminated. Over-the-air reception has making a decided comeback since the DTV transition.
I think a partial solution to this problem of late World Series is to bring back the double headers. Several double headers (like in the old days) would shorten the season considerably.
Wow, Arlington is going to be CROWDED that day.
Cowboys game at 1 then Rangers game later that day.
The two stadiums are about 3/4th of a mile apart.
Many thanks for posting that.
Incrementalism my friend.
First, we were never expected to beat the Padres (who were up by 6-1/2 games in mid-August). Then we were not supposed to beat Atlanta (better hitting). Then we were not supposed to beat Philadelphia (better pitching). All Padres, Braves, and Phillies are now at home resting up for the winter.
Now, only the Rangers stand in our way. The group of 'misfits' that nobody wanted will soon be lofting the World Series trophy. Ah, a sweet day it will be ...only slightly behind the election on the 2nd.
I don't think the Cowboys game is going to be all that crowded.
Pinging the baseball fan crew.
