BIG SUNSPOT: Sunspot group 1117 continues to grow, more than doubling in area during the past 48 hours: movie. Each of the primary dark cores in this Oct. 26th snapshot from the Solar Dynamics Observatory is fully as wide as Earth:
The sunspot's magnetic field is crackling with B- and C-class solar flares: 36-hour movie. So far, these impulsive eruptions have not hurled any substantial clouds toward Earth. A big flare would be geoeffective, however, because the sunspot is almost-squarely facing Earth. Stay tuned!
SRIBD documents suck my soul... I really wanted to read that, too... but my computer stalls waiting for the zoom, and then you need to wait again to pan... utter crap... Scribd must be something the Federal government uses.

An increase in earthquakes will be part of it.
Read that passage in Matthew again, it doesn't say that there will be an increase in earthquakes, rather our LORD says the exact opposite in that earthquakes, wars and rumors of wars will NOT be a sign since these things will be normal occurrences. The liars who tell you that there will be an increase are those who want to scare you into buying the bogus "prophecy" books and DVDs.
Two things to consider before drinking the Premillennial Dysfunctionalist Kool-Aid, the apostles wrote as if they were expecting the Parousia in their day. Think about it. The letters are considered to be Divinely inspired so God planted in them a sense of imminence that every generation since properly has had. Second, since wars and rumors of wars are allegedly part of this bogus interpretation, where exactly are the wars that make WWI and WWII pale in comparison? Where is the mass famine? Where are the plagues? It is just plain old irrational hysteria to look at yet another solar flare, and think Doomsday. These so-called "prophecy experts" should be horsewhipped for their reckless and self-absorbed terrorizing of the sheep.
Yeah, Summit has some funny quirks. A little better with the re-surface, although I miss the concrete ‘line’. Road Atlanta and the Gravity Well is a hoot!

The thing that bugs me about the title of this and a number of other topics over the years is, it brings up unbidden the recollection of a really lousy Bob Seger song.

The interference on the ground is more a nuisance than anything else; satellites can indeed be damaged or disabled, although the instances of that haven’t crippled anything down here (so far).
