It was the newly elected Democrat, Jefferson Davis, who ordered shots fired at Charleston when none were necessary.

Say, you aren’t one of those “neo-Confederate loons” that Mikie Zak is always foaming at the mouth about are you? If you disagree with him that the war was about anything but saving the black folks from slavery, he’ll tar you with all kinds of libel. It’s part of his brilliant strategy to win over the black vote.
