Is she Mad? Christina Hendricks diets to shed her curves (what?!)
The Daily Mail ^ | 10/17/2010

It's the news her legion of male admirers have dreaded – voluptuous Mad Men star Christina Hendricks is going on a diet.

The 35-year-old, who has a stunning 39D-30-39 figure, has told friends she wants to lose more than two stone (28 pounds) to conform with Hollywood’s svelte stars.

Christina has become an icon of curvaceousness, thanks to her role as Joan Holloway in the Sixties-set drama.

Christina has got sick of all the talk of her being the curviest woman in Hollywood. For her it basically meant she was being called fat,’ says a source.

(snip) ‘Christina’s cut out carbs, and alcohol, although she’s not a big drinker. She’s eating fish oil to break down fat and pak choi and edamame nearly every meal. She hopes the first stone will fall off in the next month or so.’

All she really needs to do is swim a few laps every morning to tighten it all up.

I don’t think her breasts have been enhanced. A lot of her clothes are over done as push ups giving them a silicone look, which seems to be the fashion.

But if you look at other pictures where they are not squashed and pushed up, they (for lack of a better word) hang very naturally. To get boobs that large via silicone, they get that over rounded grapefruit look and stand way too firm.

I don’t this this woman is genetically disposed to model thinness. Her genes say Rubenesque and that’s the way it is. I don’t think she can diet her body type away.

If one is a big boob guy, natural ones like hers fit the bill (or bra?).

If that woman were to lose 28lbs, it would be a crime against humanity.

Silicone doesn’t care whether you diet or not

I've seen enough photos of her posted in FR and elsewhere. I think "they" are real, which is one (or two) of her more endearing features.

I hope she stays zoftig and voluptuous.

I don't think she is the most beautiful woman I've seen by far, either. On the other hand, Ithink 100% of those I've dated haven't been quite as attractive as she is.......☺

I love Mad Men, but was disappointed to see Jon Hamm aka Don Draper on Bill Maher’s show last month blasting the Tea Party. He was blathering on that the Tea Party had a code for racist speak or some such bs. Here’s the thread.

Sorry, but any man who can look at this picture and not feel a stirring in his nether regions is probably gay or impotent. She might not be perfect, but good God!

I think all the women of Free Republic should get together for a fund raiser. We need to buy Freeper men something most of them obviously lack -- mirrors.

LOL,

Bbbbbuuuuuttttt, you mean all these women being ogled here on FR won't be begging and sobbing for just a mere moment longer of our attention, before we toss them aside for the next one?

I can't believe that's true, surely not for me anyway.

After all, I can be anybody I want on the Internet.

If anybody doesn't believe me, I can post a picture of myself and prove it right then and there!

And if, in the picture, I look like some Movie Star or other famous person you might know of, that's just a coincidence.

(Thanks for the laugh tonight).

Is that picture photo shopped? Her head is ridiculously small for the body.

She absolutely need to lose a few stone.

I’m guessing you are a younger person (under 40), back in the day real men weren’t concerned how far a woman could run, but how soft they felt in their arms and in bed. The old term was built for comfort not for speed. For the record I’m 59.

I bought the first season and loved it!

But, I had heard that he goes kind of hippy-like when it gets into 60s. What is your take on that?

Does it hold up well over [what is it now?] three seasons?

“If forced to choose,I’d go for a woman who was 10 pounds overweight before one who was 10 pounds underweight.”

You certainly have a lot more to pick from.
