The Minnesota Twins were also the Senators at one time. So the Yankees got a double dose of the Senators this year.

Yes and I think I noted before that had the Twins (unlikely vs Yankees) and Rangers (they did) won their respective rounds you'd have both former Senators teams "from the modern era" facing each other (I'm talking 1900-on but yes there was an early Wash. Senators team too as you mention.

Just looked up in Wikipedia: the last Wash Senators (team that became Rangers) game was 9/30/71...thousands got in without paying as security guards left early (swelling attendance from 14k to 25k)... fans stormed the field for souvenirs, including first base, and umpires wound up forfeiting (9-0) the game to the opponent--the same franchise Tex. can beat today for the pennant (or in gms 6 or 7 if nec.); the New York Yankees.
