I sometimes wonder about those computers. They have Ohio St. and Nebraska at 5 and 6 when I think a fairly good case can be made that they are the top 2 teams in the country.
HELP!! I couldn’t find the University of Miami in either of the major polls this morning?! They were ranked 13th in the nation last week. Then they played FSU this weekend, and now they’re completely gone - nowhere to be found in the top 25?
What the heck happened!?
:)
Heard this on ESPN this morning. From Brad’s lap top to god’s ears.
Of course they also think Boise will drop in subsequent weeks even while winning, due to the weaker schedule attributes used in the calculations.

“Wide Right”?
What the heck happened!?

They're comiserating with the Wolverines, who were ranked 18th before their Little Brothers showed up to play at their house.
Go Spartans!
Placing BSU number one only indicates that the simulation involved mind altering drugs of some sort. By the end of the season both Oregon State and Virginia Tech will be at least three loss teams. How could BSU be anywhere near one when their toughest opponents each have two losses already?
The Broncos are sitting in the corner bakery eating cupcakes the rest of this season. Their schedule alone dictates that they do not belong in this discussion.
Well, this is all.... “if the election were held today” type stuff. Still very interesting. Ohio State hasn’t played anyone, that’s why we’re 5th in this simulation. If OSU beats Wisconsin next week, let’s see where OSU is. I think it’s safe to say, if OSU wins out, they’ll be in the BCS Championship game.
I think the real question is, will the BCS formula put an undefeated Boise St. team ahead of a one-loss major conference team, such as Alabama? Right now, the simulation has a pretty big gap between Boise and Alabama.
That's the way I see it also.
We all know the season can go any which way from here on out. Nevertheless, I’d like to see any of the “major conference” teams take Gene Bleymaier up on his request.
“Boise State Athletic Director Gene Bleymaier has said publicly, loudly and clearly that the Broncos will play anybody, anytime, anywhere. Yet, no program is returning his calls.”

I do not think they will drop if Oregon State some how beat my Ducks in the end and earn a way to the Rose bowl. At the same time if Nevada ranks high up in the ranks when they play Boise. If that all happens then Boise State will be solid number 1 if Ohio also lose a game along the way.
Ohio State and the B10 are overrated. This is the time of year when I just start dreading the B10 going to the BCS championship game only to get a beatdown at the hands of the SEC.
I am an Ohio State grad. The one team I am not wild about playing is Boise St. That’s a tough team. I think OSU would be overconfident, and it would be a very tough game. If Ohio State isn’t in the big game, I’m rooting for Boise St. I’d like to see them get their shot. I think it’s nuts to say these smaller schools can’t win. Utah was undefeated two years ago, and beat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. Boise has beaten Oregon two years in a row. How many games in a row has Boise won? They have almost the exact same team as last year; that team deserves their shot.
Read somehtign this weekend that pmathematically there could be 7 undefeated teams at the end of the season. Likely scenario, is 3..maybe 5..this could finally blouw up the BCS system..give us a playoff-structure.

My brother-in-law got his undergrad from MSU, his doctorate from FSU, and teaches at Troy University.
Troy won, FSU won, MSU won, U-M lost, ‘Cains lost, and Floriduh lost. Doesn’t get much better than that for him.
Yeah, we have an easy schedule this year. Miss Michigan St and Northwestern, instead we have Indiana and Minnesota. Penn State is lousy this year. Michigan at home. Basically, we have 2 tough games (Iowa, Wisconsin).
Probably, there will be an undefeated team from the WAC (Boise-Nevada winner). An undefeated team from the MWC (Utah-TCU winner). Maybe an undefeated team from the Big 12 (Oklahoma or Nebraska). Maybe one from the Big 10. And then the SEC will tell me they’re better than all of them. Who knows, maybe they are. The BCS stinks, there should be a playoff. Of course, if there was a playoff, nobody would argue about who’s better. Who’s the best team in college basketball? Duke. I know this, because I watched them win it on the court. End of argument.
Might ask LSU alums after they met Iowa in ‘95...
