Lou Holtz, an avid Republican, has to know by now that politics can make some of the suits at ESPN squeamish. So why would he get this involved in the cause...?

It’s okay to trash conservatives and Republicans at ESPN. It’s even expected. Just don’t trash the DemocRATS. It’s not allowed. Sounds like Lou is about to be Limbaughed by ESPN.
Please note that the source of this "article" is actually media gossip from a blog, it is not a fact that Lou Holtz is in hot water at ESPN for his political comments. Not yet anyway...
Just thought some of you might find this interesting.
Keith Olbermann could go nuts for ten years and stay on sports TV, but not Limbaugh or Holtz. Those hypocrite
&^&%$^^&%&*.
Just worship the messiah and all is well
two years ago Chris Fowler, the host of college game day, referred to people who would not vote for obama as racist...

That's what I'm afraid of as well. I should point out that this "information" is actually "media gossip" at this point (source at link - it's a blog), but stuff like this sure creates a buzz, and things can snowball from here...
WOW. Thanks for that link... unbelievable.
Now that's what I call effective recruiting.
Keith Olbermann was a terrible sportscaster on ESPN, but I had no idea what his politics were. I don’t remember him commenting on politics.
Yup.
To be fair, this "information" about Holtz is actually "media gossip" at this point (source at link - it's a blog). But stuff like this can create a buzz, and things can snowball from here... Hope Holtz doesn't get the Limbaugh treatment from ESPN. Wouldn't surprise me, though... :-(
ESPN - owned by Disney - who also own ABC
You know ABC - the ones who run that centrist show “The View” every day? And Oprah?
The only problem here is he supports Republicans. Disney lets their people act like total idiots if they are leftists. ON THE AIR. DURING THEIR BROADCAST.
Irony is lost on leftists.
ESPN just looks silly.
Nice!
Same here... gotta love Lou!
Lou Holtz Silenced When It Comes To Politics
By Marcus Vanderberg on October 6, 2010 11:10 PM
You can officially add ESPN to the list of places where you shouldnt discuss politics or religion.
After Lou Holtz had some choice words to say about House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, an ESPN spokesperson said the 73-year-old would be silenced when it came to politics.
We have discussed this with him and he will not be involved in any future similar efforts, said Mike Soltys of ESPN.
In an e-mail sent Tuesday on behalf of the National Republican Congressional Committee, Holtz was urging support for Republican candidates in the upcoming November election.
You see, despite the slew of positive polls and media reports on our Partys terrific chance to recapture the U.S. House majority, the truth is the ball is still on the 20-yard line with plenty of time on the clock, Holtz said.
At the conclusion of the e-mail, Holtz suggested GOP leaders in the House are well positioned to fire Nancy Pelosi in November.

Didn't Keith do ESPN broadcasts while he had his MSNBC lunatic liberal fringe show? (I could be wrong here)
Geesh... so this IS more than just "gossip". Thanks, kcvl!
Sarah Palin jokes would be fine of course
