Good Morning!
Ron Johnson is up to a twelve point lead in the latest polls that I am seeing.
In central Wisconsin, where I am, I have never seen so many Ron Johnson and Scott Walker signs coming from this town. It is a sign (No pun intended...) for things to come. Considering this is a very liberal town, I think it is wonderful to see.
Perfect Indian Summer weather here. God has blessed us with a fabulous week of weather.

If we vote enough pubs into office to take the prize, they must NOT get wobbly. Good morning, CM. As Hannity says, if we get back in power, they will be on probation. We will be watching them very closely. If they get wobbly, out they go in 2012.

Is the ability to issue EOs in the Constitution? Or, is it something that has been developed through the years?
I’m off to peruse the Constitution.

I've been meaning to post this photo since I took it 2 months ago. So little time. These 2 WWII heroes were in Patton's 3rd ID. They started in Northern Africa something like D-Day MINUS a year, went up through Sicily, survived Anzio and wound up at Dachau just after it was liberated. My 92-y.o. Dad is on the right.

I have just finished reading Article II of the Constitution. It says
nothing about Executive Orders within that section. Nothing.
When did this writing of EOs begin?

Oh, goodness .... (((blushing))), well I'm not so sure this nut didn't roll down the hill away from the tree a little ways. Thank you, Jem.
Thank you for your research on the EO's. I want to know more about them, because if we win the House back, he will be throwing those EO's out like he wants to do as much damage to our country as he can before he is fired in November 2012 and FINALLY removed from his illegally held office on January 20, 2013.
I want our real president that takes office on January 20, 2013, to immediately rescind E.O. 13489, which he signed on January 21, 2009, sealing all of his records.

he will be throwing those EO's out like he wants to do as much damage to our country as he canThat fear is what has prompted my discussion. Since he writes EOs already, you KNOW he'll be doing it even more when his party isn't in power in the Congress.
Further reading of the article on Wikipedia points to clauses within Article II which can be interpreted for EOs. It is to allow for the smooth implementation of bills already passed. Wikipedi lists two ways an EO can be overridden, by a super majority, which has happened only twice so far, and by refusing to fund. Further, EOs expire only when rescinded by a subsequent president.
