Oh by the way,
Cam Newton 13-21 211 yards passing, 28 rushes for 197 yards.
There are many outstanding teams ahead of them, so it is unlikely for the Tide to have much of a season. After their SEC title game loss in 2008, they never even showed up for their bowl game and were hammered by Utah.
Greg McElroy was a class act and shook hands with the SC players. Ingram ran off the field. I think there are some issues with that team, and their defense only returned two starters and is quite pedestrian.
No team deserves a title if they lose by two touchdowns. It made sense to rank Alabama number one until they lost, but at least now we get to see who the real champion is. It ain't Bama.
When you are the defending champions, you have to bring it every week, because every opponent (with the exception of Florida), will be geared up and ready to give their best against you.
We have been Bama fans in my family since Frank Thomas times. But South Carolina physically manhandled them. Auburn beat SC, but for the life of me I don't know how. Auburn wins every game by one point and looks like a kindergarden fire drill.
SC was lucky to beat Georgia, who humiliated themselves against Colorado and then bushwacked Tennessee. This season may have lots of surprises left. Ohio State ain't hoisted the trophy yet. Watch out for Nebraska.
It’s tough to win on the road in the SEC.
Florida played terrible but still almost pulled it out. If that game were in Baton Rouge, they lose by 40.
I just got off another forum, and now the discussion is that Florida got hosed.
The reason is on the fake, once the ball hit the ground, it was a fumble, and a fumble cannot be advanced on 4th down. Therefore the ball should have been blown dead right there on the spot, and Florida takes over.
If so, Meyer should have known the rule to alert the refs, but it appears everybody missed it.
A fumble can’t be advanced on a fourth down? Now that is an inexcusable error for the Coach then...he should have argued and made someone “google” the answer.
Congrats on your win - I thought of you when I was seeing updates!
If that’s what your luck is worth...please wish the Gators luck every week! Great game by the ‘Noles, though.
For the third straight meeting MSU beat UofM; 536 total offense, 284 passing, intercepted Denard Robinson three times, final 34-17.

“Michigan State is also moving up. The Spartans lurk just outside the top 10 in both polls and stand to benefit from the inevitable SEC carnage.”
