Quix,

I questioned your original statement of “it does not matter” because I do believe that it does matter since fallen angels/demons are clearly referenced in Scripture but “citizens of other planets” are not...one fits in Scripture cleanly the other doesn't. IMHO

As far as your heart...that is between you and God. What I was referencing was Post 388 where you stated; “the Scripture has been the abiding truely truest and only truly true TRUTH most of my life. However, that's...LARGELY an intellectual conviction with a significant amount of FAITH CONFIDENCE inwardly that Scripture is God's Word and Therefore True. That doesn't necessarily have much impact on the heart.” If that last line does not match up with “does not affect the heart much” I apologize. I thought I had the basic idea...but maybe not. Like I said...that is between you and God.

I do have a concern about your other post 497 where you basically want to know if I have a mental disorder (OCD). This is very disappointing to me. You ping me onto several of these posts about UFO’s after I had asked to be removed from your ping lists weeks before. We then have an on going discussion where I try to show you my point of view and to explain it...I have as a result been accused of being on a high horse, having a mental disorder (Obsessive-compulsive disorder), and now not understanding or communicating with my children well (why even bring them into this). Honestly, Quix, I do not see this as good Christian communication...and I have seen it on other posts that have been made to other people...that is why I had originally asked to be taken off of your ping lists weeks ago. I will continue to pray for you but think that it is best that I take a breather for now.

God bless

Cheers.

Personally, I don’t see OCD and perfectionism as I was asking about them as a huge deal depending on degree. I asked about them because you seemed to be fairly perfectionist about the issues we were discussing. I thought and think that such feedback might be useful to you. You seemed to care enough to give me feedback you thought useful to me. I care enough to return the favor.

I could have said perfectionistic without the OCD label. I’ve owned largely oversoming some degree of OCD tendencies earlier in my life, by God’s Grace. In a lot of ways, I think OCD has lots a lot of its precision as a term—a lot like schizophrenia. I would have been better to have just said perfectionism. I’m sorry I didn’t.

My “. . . That doesn’t necessarily have much impact on the heart.” was about a specific aspect of spiritual life and relationship with GOD—FEELING HIS LOVE routinely, intensely, confidently, or not. Your assertion sounded like none of my relationship with God impacted my heart at all, which is far from true.

God’s best to you, too.
